About Us: The AED Foundation of Ontario is dedicated to promoting the importance of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and providing education and resources to ensure their availability and proper use. Our mission is to save lives by increasing public awareness and accessibility of AEDs across Ontario.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and creative marketing and media manager to join our team. This role is critical in establishing and building our brand, enhancing our online presence, engaging with our community, creating and supporting outreach and awareness, and effectively communicating our mission and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing, strong social media experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to support outreach goals and facilitate awareness and engagement.
- Manage and update the Foundation’s brand and brand assets including associated website.
- Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written) across various social media platforms.
- Develop mainstream media and marketing campaigns to promote AEDs and the Registry.
- Assist the Chief Communications Officer in connecting with the Ministry of Health communications team to align campaigns to expected outcomes.
- Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “social” way while cultivating outreach initiatives. Oversee the design and execution of social media campaigns. Analyze key metrics and social media algorithms and adjust strategy as needed.
- Collaborate with the team on outreach campaigns.
- Develop and manage media relations and press releases.
- Coordinate media and social media with aligned stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with digital marketing and the utilization of artificial intelligence for potential new channels and strategies to keep us ahead.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- Proven working experience in marketing or related field.
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
- Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO, and SEO.
- Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels.
- Positive attitude, detail, and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
- IT experience, preferably with an understanding of database development.
- Self motivated with strong team integration skills.
- Proficient in office technology as well as Adobe CS and related software.
- Fluency in English.
